I picked it all out and all parts have a warranty. From CPU to high end sound card, all is I think, a good price? Your thought?

I was able to get the XPS side panel to go with the NEW case. Not one scratch on the case and all parts are NEW less the sound cards, and mother board which is a refurbished board with a warranty.2. I did not know.

Oops!!.I have everything together and I'm trying to get it going, up and running.When I (pf2) the system, it is having a hard time reconizing everything. I get the blue (BIOS) screen where for a Dell has you ID number key that is for the system build when it is built at Dell. I get that far and it appears to lock up? I can not move anything with my key board to check the CPU, graphics card or anythinh. I don't think it's anything bad, just not sure where to start to get the heart beating so I can load the Vista Ultimate OS.Any ideas?? I understand what you are saying, I like Dell and for the price; $1,700.00 was not bad for what I have.

I'm still new to the computer land or should I say expert / geeks. I started out with HP; I quickly realized that was not the way to go. Dell was the next step and for a learning curve for cost and what I know today, was not a bad switch off.

I had a back-up with /dell Support which has been very good; they have taught me a bunch.This is my first build for a computer and my other Dell 720 XPS H2c that I'm on now works (VERY!!) nice. I also have a Dell XPS M170 that has been very nice as well. I have spent a very minimal amount of $$ for what I have and still works with all the games and paper work I do at home connected to business.

All in all, Dell has been a very good learning experience and I do plan on building my own again within the next 5 to 7 years. I have been doing some reading on computers and cloud plan that is not far away. We all will have much to learn when computers as we see them today make a dramatic change in the way we perform processes, and software as we know it today.2.

Answer: I'm using a usb keyboard to try and access the Bios.With using my usb keyboard it has to be working because I'm able to hit the pf2 key and get in to the set-up utility. Does that mean all of the keyboard should work or was I just lucky?

By using a ps2 keyboard, should I have no problem with navigating at all? I do know I should be able to purchase an adapter to go from usb to ps2 plug-in.Let me know.Thanks again!!
